I have the amazing opportunity of helping this festival located in the heart of Carlsbad, Ca. I had an absolutely fabulous experience there yesterday. I was mainly at Spin Records on Grand avenue in Carlsbad, but I also saw some music at a few of the other venues to include Giacoletti Music on State and CBV, New Village Arts on State and Panini Cafe at the end of State street. The streets were full of families, couples and groups of friends and people just cruisin' from venue to venue mapping out their own personally selected musical journey. Plus, there was a full moon so it was bright out and the sky was stunning. I found myself standing there in certain moments listening to a song just mesmerized by the moon, the music and the community vibe going on during the festival. I am going again today. It's starts at 1p and it'll be rocking full throttle most likely by around 3p. You don't want to miss this. This tree has been there forever. It's nestled in the center of the St. Michael's Church courtyard. The church is hosting many of the music performances and is one of the main venues. The people there are extremely loving, outgoing and fun!!! Last night after the festival a lot of us met at the after party under this tree for beer and wine. I had such an amazing time at this festival and this venue. On a side note, there is a chapel there from 1892 that I'm going to be doing a blog on once I interview Father Doran. We spoke last night and he is going to provide a lot of information about the chapel to share the Carlsbad history. He knows the history and I learned just last night that chapel was the very first church in Carlsbad. The festival goes on again today!!! You'll have such a great time. It's like creating your own personal musical journey because you can float from venue to venue and each band, artist or ensemble is an entirely different experience. Don't miss this!
