kevalawear.com Kevala, which means absolute truth, is a local clothing company here in Southern California created by the founder, Keith Donohue. The brand has three purposes as part of their mission statement explained as follows: --They create merchandise that has functionality with affirmations printed on both the front and back to offer inspiration both to the wearer and to those who see the affirmations on the clothing. An interesting aspect of this design is explained in more detail on their website. --The company also focuses on giving via a portion of the profits It is committed to giving back to the community and supporting charities nationwide. As explained on their website, "Five percent of your purchase is automatically donated to nonprofits in ALL 50 states, Canada, D.C., and Mexico - our founder volunteered at each organization on the 50Give tour! We support a variety of nonprofits in North America doing amazing things whether they are empowering the homeless, providing dog therapy to at-risk children, or protecting the environment…we have something for everybody! Eventually our online store will allow you to allocate your donation to nonprofits by interest or locality!" For a complete list of the charities they support visit their website via the link above. They give to love.futbol, Yoga Behind Bars, International Children's Heart Foundation, Big Brothers Big Sisters, FaceIt! and Farm Rescue...to name a few. --Lastly, they invest a great deal of energy in the area of sustainability and use only "the best of the best" materials for their merchandise. They are proud to offer merchandise that is eco-friendly. The material is, as described on their website, "made of Tencel (lyocell) - biodegradable material from eucalyptus trees, blended organic cotton with a splash of spandex. Lyocell is wicking – 50% higher moisture absorption rate than cotton, durable, anti-bacterial, resistant to wrinkles, and soft like your favorite t-shirt." They have a new clothing line that is being launched tomorrow so check out their new merchandise and become a part of their mission to give back to those in need. The founder, Keith Donohue, is a local SoCal resident who has definitely shown his heart and passion for people since he has devoted a great deal of his time and effort to personally volunteering for many of these programs and other non-profit programs nationwide. He is pictured above (center) with a few of his team members and Jason Mraz after an interview. See the link below for the YouTube video with Keith and Jason. It is a very inspirational video in which Keith explains his motivation for starting the clothing line. He also shares his personal insight about volunteering and how that led to the creation of Kevala. Each article of clothing has a very unique purpose. Watch the video to hear more about what Kevala is all about. Check back in late October for an extensive interview with this incredible man, Keith Donohue. He has a purpose that is worth noticing and I hope people in SoCal support his goals and vision for Kevala clothing and what it is doing to contribute to others and their well being.
Thanks Keith!!! I can't wait to get my own shirt from the new line being launched tomorrow! This particular line is geared toward ATHLETES. Right on! Kevala. Clothing with a sacred purpose.
